I. Network goals

1. Database

To generate and update on a regular basis a database regrouping contact information, interests, level of expertise and organisations of network members.

2. Exchange of information

Network = contacts + projects

To gather information on the activities of members, SUHR and partner organisations.

To collect information on the situation in different countries, with an emphasis on the countries of origin of network members.

To select and distribute UN, UNESCO and IBE documents fitting the fields of interest of SUHR: news from the Commission on Human Rights, the Sub-Commission, the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, and UN working groups.

3. Online training

To set up online training programmes based on the existing SUHR concept for regional training programmes in "risk areas".

To offer institutions organising such programmes advanced courses on human rights.

4. Project support

To support projects presented by members to governments, the World Bank and the United Nations.

To support research projects of members and SUHR activities.
