Founded in 1995, The Summer University on Human Rights (SUHR) is known, since 2005, as the Collège universitaire Henry Dunant-HDuC (Henry Dunant University College-HDuC). The SUHR / HDuC is a foundation under Swiss law and is recognized of public interest by the Republic and Canton of Geneva.

HDUC/ suHR organizes short, university level educational trainings designed for Human Rights' non-governmental and governmental actors. The sessions take place during the meetings of the Human Rights Council and its subsidiary organs, allowing a first-hand experience of these organs' procedures. The objective is to promote a culture of human rights based on intercultural dialogue. Focused on the Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, these trainings aim towards the integration of human rights based approach in policy making.
